Weekend glee

Friday night after work, I went out to meet a few people, and eventually wound up at a friend’s Christmas party. It began as a very grown-up, fancy Christmas party, with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and admiration of the Christmas tree. It ended as a scattered display of exuberant dancing. A nice mix:

Saturday I watched a marathon of Battlestar Galactica episodes (the new one). We didn’t get all the way through the first season, but we came close. Disturbingly close. The stupor that resulted, unforunately, does not make for very interesting photographs.

Also—the Radio 1 disc jockey from Friday’s trivia question was Jimmy Saville. There wasn’t much clamoring for the answer, though. Perhaps it’s the wrong sort of suspense for this kind of forum.

All of your really high-quality Christmas parties have an element of regression in them. Although the dancing in this photo doesn't look quite as tribal as one would hope for.

I would have chimed in my interest in the trivia answer, but for the fact that I wouldn't have had the remotest hope of coughing up a guess. Also, I was temporarily on comment hiatus...back now!

I'd like to present a poll to the other readers as to the nature of what's coming out of the young man's mouth. On first glance, it rather looks like some giant tongue piercing that's pulliing his head toward the ground from it's sheer weight.
A more close look and I think he may have some sort of whistle. Is that some crazy british rave thing? Dancing with whistles?
