Friday night lights

Wow, I really love Coney Island. I would even without the summertime Friday-night fireworks. It’s hard to believe anyone would even dare to attempt to improve upon a place with a “Shoot the Freak” booth... but they have.

And I completely failed! I didn’t take a single picture all weekend long. Ah, well.

The Renaissance

Oof, I’ve been busy this week. But here’s a picture from the Renaissance Fair (Faire) that I went to last weekend. Rest assured, it was well worth the price of admission once I was asked, in front of the beer/mead booth, “Hast thou identification?” Hee.

Movie equipment everywhere

After spending last week’s evenings dodging cranes and being guided by eager, single-minded production assistants away from the shooting, I have to admit I’m a little curious about the movie that’ll be using my neighborhood as a backdrop.

I happened to be downtown when I snapped my three-thousandth picture on this camera:
