Saving my parents the inconvenience of an international phone call.
Eh, we’re all on Verizon now—my parents don’t even have to use up minutes to talk to me.

This suggests at least one fun activity -- finding the bike that was the front wheel donor. Took me an awful long time to figure out why someone stole the front wheel of my $50 Wal-Mart bike years ago until, once the stand had otherwise cleared, a picture similar to this one greeted me with a wheel that wasn't mine.
