Pickles, pickles everywhere (on one block)

Yesterday was the seventh annual International Pickle Day on the Lower East Side. One block of Orchard Street was packed with people sampling every type of pickled food, including cucumbers (classic, in multiple varieties), beans (mild and tasty), and lemons (gross).

And who wouldn’t feel a little happier when they see this guy wandering around:
