Monday night downtown Italian
I try to avoid the wow!-I-went-out-for-dinner posts, since they’re not particularly exciting, even if the evenings themselves are fun. But if there isn’t anything else going on to write about, I have no choice. So here’s a picture of Jason, post-meal in this restaurant, reluctantly allowing me to take his picture.
Notice the restaurant’s aborted blog. Oh, well.

You know, food is very important. For instance, last night I learned what "angels on horseback" are. They're oysters wrapped in bacon. They're good. In fact, heavenly. I now consider myself an equestrian-angel slayer. Like a genocidal Gabriel, or Michael, or one of them with wings and a sword, except I eat them.
I'm trying to determine what that plate contains the remnants of.
Large mussels in marinara sauce?
Thurs, Oct 27, 2005: I have a great idea - let's start a food blog!
Friday, Oct 28, 2005: still working on the restaurant and the blog.
Saturday, Oct 29, 2005: Eh.
You can't picture Jason and not disclose the wine.
I like the meatballs and the cavitelli there, myself.
sorry, i'm an idiot. anonymous = me.
